Experience > Developer

I have been programming from an early age, and have enjoyed the ability to create applications that change the way that businesses operate.

With a formal training in structure and object oriented programming, I have been able to quickly adapt myself to many programming languages. Although I find programming interesting, it is the ability of an application to improve a process or provide better information faster that I really enjoy.

Relevant Experience

Following is a brief list of applications that I have developed:

  • Dynamic taxonomy builder, which calculates the strength of relationship between terms within documents to better understand information within an organisation;
  • A content management system that has been implemented by several multinational corporations;
  • Interactive Children CD's (Bananas in Pajamas and Oz the Magical Adventure);
  • An interactive learning system for a national telecommunications company ;
  • Learning management system for third party trainers and students;
  • Interactive learning tools written in a variety of languages (flash action scripting, Macormedia Director, HTML, DHTML, javascript and Serverside ASP); and
  • A word document parsing system that generates complex websites based on the content contained within multiple word documents.

Some of the programming languages I have experience in are:

  • Server and Client Side ASP;
  • Javascript and DHTML;
  • Toolbook;
  • Macormedia Director;
  • Macromedia flash action scripting;
  • Visual Basic and VBA (Excel, Word and Access);
  • ANSI C;
  • SQL 92a, TSQL, PLSQL;
  • Batch and Command files, Unix and Linux shell files;
  • Java applets;
  • COBOL;
